John Pipino directs Doblin's technology strategy. He is a charter member of Doblin and has worked with Larry Keeley since 1988. Pip is the principal author of the firm's enterprise systems for case management, context and social science research, and innovation tracking. He also works periodically as a writer and project leader, continuing to experience firsthand the business processes that must be supported by the firm's IT strategy. Pip is periodically invited to co-teach Systems Workshop at ID, a class where the intersection of method and content regularly produce interesting results. He has the honor of teaching this course with Professor Charles Owen. Trained academically as an historian, he holds a deep-rooted belief in the value of liberal arts in the world of technology. He is a graduate of Frostburg State University in Maryland. In the distant past, Pip's career began as communications director for a Silicon Valley startup. |
