Steven’s interests lie in the intersection of user-centered design, innovation planning, and traditional business methodology. As a consultant for Doblin, he analyzes people’s behavior along with trends and facts found in the world to create defensible business concepts for companies and organizations to implement. Steven holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan. The structured thought process of engineering was a good start for Steven, but limited his creative nature. Motivated to use both left and right brain thinking, Steven found the IIT Institute of Design, where he received his Master of Design degree. Prior to working at Doblin, he worked as an Account Manager for Johnson Controls, Inc. managing client relationships and developing solutions for clients in industries such as life sciences, automotive, food and beverage, and computer software. His experience there helped him learn to empathize with his clients and their situations.
