Community Collaborations: A Recap of VergeNYC 2016

As part of VergeNYC, the Doblin team in New York with Parsons School of Design hosted an evening of great dialogue and introductions among practicing designers, innovation field experts and graduate students. Entertaining a full house, we fielded a variety of perspectives on the role of design in our complex and intertwined world.

This event was part of the VergeNYC, a 2.5-day event that created a nexus for the academic and professional worlds, to debate, discuss, and connect on complex challenges we face today in the field of design. In addition to hosting, Doblin’s NY-based team took part in the conference’s extended conversations. Delving in the concept of elasticity, VergeNYC posed the questions: what does an elastic future look like, and how might we design for it?

Thank you to the folks at Parson’s Transdisciplinary Design program for the amazing opportunity to take part of the dialogue.
