Beth Kelley

I am a digital anthropologist and user researcher, applying traditional ethnographic approaches and tools to how humans work and engage in the Digital Age. I am an advocate for the end user, while also remembering that my client is also an end user and needs to be included and on board with any solution. For over a decade I have applied insights from consumer behavior and user experience research to develop innovative business strategies, product designs, systems, and messaging and communication strategies. I have worked on projects with federal and public sector, consumer product and retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology and telecommunications clients.

My Master’s thesis focused on the psychological and physical benefits of play, and I am also an outspoken advocate for the value of play both at work and home, and how taking a playful approach can inform better innovation and strategy work.

I spend my free time hiking, playing outdoors, photographing nature, and coming up with oodles of fantastic crafting projects that I sometimes also complete.
