Client Leadership, Design

Chicago Headquarters

I employ a broad range of methods to develop and articulate solutions that are empathetic to both end users and those who implement them—working with clients to deeply understand user-based opportunities and the businesses and designs that could be developed to drive new growth and differentiation. I lead and facilitate design strategy initiatives internationally in a variety of industries including telecommunication, CPG, automotive, health care/wellness, retail, and education. I also work collaboratively with client teams in setting up innovation teams and capabilities.

Additionally, I make significant contributions to developing Doblin’s own tools and processes—including the Innovation Tactics Cards, the Ten Types of Innovation App, and coauthoring Ten Types of Innovation (Wiley 2013).

I serve as a member of the adjunct faculty at the Institute of Design (IIT), where I teach Design Planning. Prior to joining Doblin in 2005, I held positions at premier design firms in Hong Kong, Chicago, and New York. I received a Masters of Design degree from the Institute of Design (IIT), hold a BFA from Syracuse University, and attended the Sozosha College of Design in Osaka, Japan where I was the sole US communication designer invited.
